In this spirited and defiantly individualistic collection, 13 young black woman poets - representative of a group that has long been among the most creatively silent of South African voices - speak up and speak out with boldness, passion and honesty.

This collection will give you a glimpse into our through, our experiences, our lives. We hope that it will be a source of inspiration to other young South Africans, encouraging them to dream big and live out their dreams. In the words of Hale Tsehlana, we "write" because it is time" - OUR time!
